Following the failure of rains in October-December 2005 in areas that were already under Government of Kenya Emergency Operations Program, the food security situation was rapidly deteriorating. Through Plan International Australia, TCF funded school feeding, transport of food, seed distribution, and provision of food to five districts in the western and southern part of Kenya. The drought was followed by a flood in Kwale for which some of the unspent funds were diverted. This placemark is in Homa Bay in Western Kenya in one of Plan International Kenya’s Western Programme Units.
