This project established safe and secure facilities for pre-primary schools in Manufahi and Ainaro. The project developed improvement, maintenance and safety plans and lodged them with government inspectorates. Once the plans were validated by communities and local government, the agreed plans were implemented by Save the Children and the communities. The efforts motivated other communities to initiate plans for pre-school facilities. The photo shows what the Cassa Pre-School looked like before the project. In total an estimated 1,400 pre-schoolers benefited immediately with many more over the next years.
