68 Gaza Convoy for Peace

68 Gaza Convoy for Peace

On 27th December 2008, Israel launched a military invasion of Gaza. In the process the already dire humanitarian situation worsened. Lacking electricity, food, access to clean water and medical supplies, the population was caught in the middle of this decade-long crisis. Israeli Defence Forces withdrew ahead of January 20th, but continued to control humanitarian supplies into Gaza. TCF supported a convoy to alleviate the suffering of the innocent civilians and especially the traumatized children caught in the middle of this impossible situation through A Hommes de Parole Foundation – Convoy for Peace. A multi-religious appeal for a ceasefire was released and an Imam, a Rabbi and a Priest accompanied the convoy as a sign of the multi-religious commitment to peace.
