44 Sudan Training the Top Leadership

Following civil wars from 1955 to 1972 that ended with the Ababa agreement, Sudan was again plunged into civil war in 1983 – a civil war that ended in January of 2005 with the Compreshensive Peace Agreement that gave authonomy to South Sudan and promised a referendum to be held on independence in 2010. Tony Lenart and the Institute for Advanced Leadership (IAL) proposed a program to have 300 top-leaders attend a week long training with 100 Selected top Leaders given an additional 2 days of training. The project failed as the equipment was stolen and never recovered. Tony Lenart barely managed to stay out of jail because of trumped up fraud charges and he has not been back to Sudan since 2007. In 2008 Tony Lenart was found innocent of all of the criminal charges made against him.
