This project was implemented by Plan International. It increased access to adequate and potable water for more than 22,000 people in Kisarawe outside Dar Es Salaam. The project involved 8 Boreholes, 10 Rain Water Tanks (7 in schools, 3 in health centres) and a Chaco dam. The project furthermore included training on hygiene practices for the communities and for 500 school children. The 19 water points each had a Water Management Committee.
