Mulli Childrens Family was set up by Charles Mulli, a successful Kenyan businessman, who sold everything to set up a charity for street kids. The original idea for the project had agricultural development components i Yatta, Ndalani and the focus on the street girls. Following some back and forth the project settled on a modest support for the street girls rehabilitaiton centre in Yatta with support also to establish production of cows and chickens. The street girls would receive vocational training, psycho-social support and access to councelling and testing services and would take part in the agricultural activities of the rehabilitation centre. The project was three months later complemented with the agricultural elements such as the construction of a greenhouse in Ndalani which became TCF project 032. The Ndalani project affected the Street Girl project which, when greenhouse construction in Ndalani started, took 2nd priority. The Ndalani project was later followed by additional greenhouses in Yatta and a world class green bean production capacity in TCF058 in an effort to create self-sustainability of MCF., ,
