Based on the success of Justice Reinvestment programme in Bourke, TCF is seeking to replicate the approach in Moree. Justice reinvestment is a smarter approach to criminal justice that supports existing and emerging community-led initiatives and strategies, establishing a more collaborative and unified whole of community approach. Rather than focusing exclusively on criminal justice reform, we focus on addressing the underlying drivers of crime, including issues in education, health, employment, family support and individual and community well-being to avoid crime from occurring in the first place. By building safer, stronger and more resilient communities and shifting focus to a whole of life and community approach we can reduce contact with the criminal justice system.
