The food insecurity in Zimbabwe and particularly in the southern district of Chiredzi continued as a result of drought, the pandemic and the economic situation. An initial food distribution for 2,000 households for three months were extended for an additional three months and in the second phase complemented with seeds to allow a crop to be sown and ready for the end of the support period.
