In March 2019 Intense Tropical Cyclone Idai affected 1.8 million people in six provinces of Mozambique. Basic services were severely damaged: electricity, communications, water pumping and treatment, WASH etc. The President of the Republique declared a State of Emergency.
TCF assistance was targeted towards Manica Province and especially the districts of Macate, Vanduzi and (Sussundenga).
