The aim of this project is to significantly reduce the mortality rates of premature babies, through the teaching of Kangaroo Mother Care being adopted as the standard method of care for all babies born throughout Tanzania. The team achieved success in terms of training champions in Regions near Dar es Salaam during the first phase of the project and with this project is seeking to ensure that all regions of Tanzania has trained champions that then in turn will train medical personal at hospitals and clinics throughout the country.
