TCF supported Julia Francombe and her Samburu Trust to build two water reservoirs in Samburu country. The Selangos are strategically placed on the migratory routes of the pastoralists and sized to dry up keeping the livestock on the move, so that vegetation is not overgrazed. The selangos are furthermore fenced and used as training points for natural regeneration efforts such as FMNR. Finally water is provided for wildlife to minimize the risk of damage to the structures.
