Atsaphangthong WatSan Project was a one-year project initiated to improve capacity and effectiveness of the District Clean Water & Environmental Sanitation Team, and to assist them in providing reliable and safe water supplies for 13,000 people in 23 villages through the installation of 30 Tara Pumps and installation of 4 hand dug ring-wells. The project also aimed to encourage the uptake of environmental sanitation amongst 6500 people in 15 Lao Theung villages. A third objective was to ensure sustainability through the establishment of Water Management Committees.
