The project will rehabilitate an existing Khmer Rouge Era irrigation system, including a 75 metre wide damwall with spill way, water gates and a 2500-meters long canal with concrete culverts. The system will provide additional water for 1800 ha and will provide year round water for 10 ha. The project also includes a Learning Centre and a demonstration site to showcase climate smart solutions and a local market space with simple infrastructure. Finally the project includes micro-loans to farmers for simple irrigation systems utilizing the available water.
