In the wake of the victory of the Sri Lankan Army over the Tamil Tigers, 80,000 people fled and joined 200,000 who had fled previously because of the fighting. The internally displeaced people were living in camps with very little support and TCF funded the provision of clean water, sanitation, health promotion and distribution of non-food items over a three month period for an estimated 8,500 people.
