The aim of the project is to work with UACO in Uganda to assemble and distribute 33,000 CBKs as a core intervention to aid the prevention of infection during childbirth in low resource settings or during emergencies when access to essential clean birth supplies and a skilled birth attendant are not guaranteed. UACO willl assemble CBKs made to the local cultural requirements and empower the local community by training and working with women, girls, and Community Health Workers (CHWs) to assemble and distribute the kits. The women that assemble the kits will be remunerated with $0.25 per kit.
